Prize #1- this gorgeous vintage fabric rainbow dress that made The Middle Child squeal with delight, from The Modern Marigold on Etsy, which was a giveaway from Jess at Craftiness is Not Optional:
Prize #2- the fun and festive Oh Christmas Tree pattern by Fresh Poppy Design, which I won when I linked up at Amylouwho for the 100 Quilts for Christmas charity drive.
Prize #3- this may come in handy for the above quilt...a charm pack of Figgy Pudding from Kelli at Kelli's Pieces in celebration of her big wedding day!
Prize #4- some beautiful brown and pink ribbon from Amy at Diary of a Quilter! And today I just found out I won some gorgeous scraps from Elizabeth at Giddy For Paisley. How fun are these little birdies? You can check out the cool bag she made with them here.
So, when I heard that Sew Mama Sew was hosting a Giveaway Day, I thought that would be the perfect way to give back to the Giveaway Karma Gods!!
Here is the giveaway:
1. I have a stack of soft, fuzzy, gorgeous Anna Maria Horner Folksy flannels for ya. Includes 1/3 yard cuts of the 8 prints shown, for a total of almost 3 yards of fabric. Perfect for cuddling over the cold winter! 2. The second part of this giveaway is a charitable donation. I think during this holiday season we all are feeling pretty fortunate about how we live, and all that we have. So, for the winner, I will make a $50(CAN) donation to the charity of your choice. Must be a charity where I am able to donate online, please, to avoid the potential hassle of international cheques.
To enter:
Leave a comment saying what charity you would choose if you won and why- I would love to learn more about the causes that are meaningful to you! Or, tell me something that you are thankful for this holiday season. No need to be a follower, but since I am thankful for my faithful friends, if you are a follower, leave a second comment saying so and you get a second entry.
Giveaway closes at 9 p.m. central standard time on Friday, December 17 and is open to local and international friends. Good luck everyone!

How cool is this! I'd want you to donate to your local food bank!
Congrats on the winnings! My charity choice is Ronald McDonald House because they provide a place to stay nearby for families while their children are in the hospital.

I've been following since a search for pillowcase dresses lead to you. Your kiddos are adorable and I enjoy your sense of humor.

Wow! You sure have been lucky. If I'd won, I'd love for you to donate to my friend's charity Grace's Kitchen. They're working to feed the homeless in my city.
I would love to win those flannels especially since it snowed today and my heat has decided to go poof. Not working so well for me I'm freezing. My charity of choice would be Operation Smile. Not just because I work for them but because seeing the faces of the kids day in and day out just brings home how much help they need.
What a wonderful idea. I love this giveaway.
I'd like a donation to Anaphylaxsis Canada (helping people with severe life threatening food allergies). http://www.anaphylaxis.org/
I would donate to the Joey Tamez foundation. This young man, 15years old, was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and has less than 1 year to live. He has such a joyful spirit although people around him feel sorry for him. His parents have exhausted all of their finances for medical costs. There is one last effort to try that requires a large sum of money that they don't have. They've raised the initial $20,000 but need $40,000 more.
What a great idea! My charity would be CNIB (Canadian National Intitute for the Blind). My mother is loosing her eye sight. I cannot imagine how difficult this would be to adapt to, but also to loose the ability to see colour and pattern would be very difficult to cope with.
Great idea!
I'd donate to Heifer International or my local watershed....it's always nice to help out locally.
Second Harvest - because everyone should be fed, but it's not always easy for some to get the food they need.
I would have to choose the American Stroke Association since my dear Aunt Barb just passed away this October of a sudden stroke.
What a generous giveaway, thank you for the opportunity!
Following you :)
What wonderful fabrics! I would love to win it!
Lucky you winning 5 times in a row! wow! congrats! I would love you to donate to the IWK, children's hospital in Halifax NS, where my grandchild (3 yrs old) who was recently diagnose with "Deletion 22 Q syndrome" goes many times and they have a wonderful team there!
Hope you can give them a wonderful donation.

jcmpmorrison@gmail.com
The flannel is gorgeous! I would support heifer.org, because I love thinking about what a flock of chicks or a share in a goat could do for a family.
How awesome are you!? This is by far my favorite giveaway. Not only are you offering up adorable fabrics, but your donating to a charity! :)
I'd choose Amnesty International because I believe ever person deserves basic human rights.
Thanks for the chance!

This is a wonderful giveaway - and so far this winter sure is COLD! Those flannels would make for a great lap blanket while cuddling on my couch with my son.
The charity nearest and dearest to me is The American Cancer Society - having lost too many family members to cancer, I can only hope that a cure is found soon!
Thanks for your generosity.
What a fabulous way to make the holiday beautiful for so many. I think I would choose Focus on the Family, an organization that has made a fantastic impact on my life and family.
A friend recently died of cancer and I would like to donate to american cancer society. Thanks for the giveaway!
First of all, you picked a wonderful set of fabrics to giveaway. Secondly, what a wonderful idea to give away a charitable donation. If I won, I would choose the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. Our city was flooded last spring and our Symphony hall was greatly damaged. I would like to donate to them not only because they are going through a time of need, but because they have proven in the past to be an organization that gives back so much to our community and I know that the sooner they are back on their feet, the sooner our community will benefit from their generosity.
march of dimes is always a good one
What a wonderful giveaway, this is so nice. I would donate to Partners in Health, which is a great organization doing international health work, including a lot in Haiti. Thank you so much for the chance to enter!
My donation would go to Samaritan's Purse to help those in need around the world.
Congrats on your winnings and it's so kind of you to give back! I adore your fabric giveaway! I think I would donate to the Hospital for Sick Children because I'm a mom to 2 small children and could not imagine what parents go through when their children get seriously or terminally ill and would love to help in anyway I could.
stephanie_guse@sympatico.ca
I donate to my local wilderness preservation groups. It's important to protect our plants and planet. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I'd love to donate to the unicef. they have gift pack that made you chose where you want your money to go. Thanks for the giveaway !!
Those are cute flannels - would love to sew up some items for my kids. And for a charity - I would send the money to World Vision as I already sponsor a child in a 3rd world country. Thank you for the chance to win. :)
bcgeates(at)netbistro(dot)com
anna marie is my fave fabric designer right now. i need to stock up my stash!
i have 2 charity donations.
#1 is MDA, also known as "jerry's kids". my reason for this suggestion is because my 18 year old cousin has MD and the charity is so amazing to work with and devoted to each of its patients.
http://www.mdausa.org/
#2 is the national brain tumor society.
my reason for this one is because it is SUCH an overlooked charity and the progress and knowledge on brain tumors/cancers are so complex that the charity tends to get lost in other charities. my boyfriends sister died of GBA brain tumor march 15th at 31 years old.
http://www.braintumor.org/
otherwise, it is SO awesome that you are even donating to a charity during your giveaway.
THANK YOU! What a generous giveaway! While I love the flannel, I find your charitable donation most inspiring. As a breast cancer survivor I would either pic the Susan G Komen Foundation or the American Cancer Society. THANK YOU again.
I am a new follower.
oh my goodness, i love this giveaway ♥ i would choose st. jude's children's research hospital. they helped a sweet family that is so very near and dear to my heart and i will do anything i can to support them. thank you for the wonderful {and thoughtful!} giveaway!
xoxo
I'd love to donate to the Alberta Children's Hospital - I work there and it breaks my heart to see all of those sweet children enduring rounds of chemotherapy & various diseases.
WWF for the donation. Potential for tigers in the wild to become extinct in the near future. Scary.
Love the eclectic snugly mix.
Wow and wow. First, congrats on the fabulous dress score! Second, thanks for the unusually generous giveaway. I like to see money donated to foodbanks because they benefit a wide variety of everyday people, no matter what race or age.
Come visit my blog for a giveaway too: www.sewingdork.blogspot.com
cynsaw2@yahoo.ca
If I won I would like the money to go to the Linn Benton Food Share: http://www.csc.gen.or.us/foodshare.htm
This is my local food bank, and I know they need the money as so many people are struggling to buy food during these tough times. I am really thankful that my sweet husband works so hard to keep our little family fed and sheltered. Thanks so much for the opportunity! I really like the charitable component of your giveaway.
woodlandrabbit@yahoo.com
Heffer International is my favorite charity! Thank you for chance to win for me and for them!
My charity of choice is North Star Foundation, which places service dogs for special needs children, especially with seizure disorders and/or autism. It's close to my heart because I have family members who have these special needs (and are trying to raise funds for a service dog).
http://www.northstardogs.com/
PS This is my first time on your site, but I'm following your blog now. Thanks for the giveaway!
I would make the donation to KIVA which is empowering women around the world through microfinance. We have funded several loans to women who work in sewing related industries and it is truly a gift that makes you feel like you are making a difference in the world. Thanks for the opportunity to win. kungar@iquest.net
We like to support the Canadian Cancer Society and the BC Children's Hospital. There are too many people being diagnosed with cancer and too many families with sick children. :(
Thanks for the giveaway - so generous of you!
baba3mama21 at yahoo dot ca
The Mennonite Central Committee for all the work they do to help make life better for those who have less.
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (firehero.org) is near and dear to my heart, especially this time of year. My dad was a volunteer firefighter who died in the line of duty on December 13, 1999. The NFFF does a wonderful job remembering these special heroes and taking care of their families.
Soldiers Angels is a great organization. They do great things for soldiers and their families. Being an Army wife I am always looking for groups that do their best to take care of soldiers in need.
Thanks for the awesome give away - I would choose the canadian cancer society - I volunteer at Camp goodtimes (in BC) for kids that have had cancer - inspiring!
tanya_cruick@hotmail.com
any cancer organization or alzheimer's association, i cannot choose. happy holidays
ryderryder38@hotmail.com
ryderryder38(at)hotmail(dot)com
My charity would by Hospice - they were very supportive to family and friends when we brought my Dad home to finish out his final days. THe nurses and aides were just fantastic not only with his care, but in meeting my Mom's needs.http://www.hospicenet.org/
the american cancer society. my husband had cancer, my grandmother, brothers father-in-law has pancreatic cancer and it took my aunt. it would be my choice for sure :) what an amazing idea for a giveaway... bless you
dkburroughs21(at)aol(dot)com
You definitely should get a lottery ticket! You are on a roll! Thanks so much for the giveaway too! I work in the dental field and so I am a big supporter of Smile Train (www.smiletrain.org). They provide surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates in children who would otherwise not be able to afford care. These surgeries are life changing and can prevent a lifetime of ridicule and pain for these kids.
bruinbr at gmail dot com
Such a generous giveaway! I'd like to donate to Amnesty International.
I would give the donation to breast cancer research
As a survivor of domestic abuse, any woman's shelter, anywhere would benefit from a donation. It wouldn't need to be in the U.S. I know there are admirable charities in Canada who would serve the populace and allow women and their children a safe, nurturing environment. Where they can take an easier breath and assess their next steps. This is the most generous gift anyone has offered, that I've come across on this journey. Thank you so very much. Tina
Beautiful fabrics! I would choose Mission Aviation Fellowship because they help people all over the world (think earthquake in Haiti, tsunami in Indonesia) with their airplanes, but that might be a conflict of interest because my husband and I are actually working with them right now! So, I'd say Compassion International. What a great organization that helps kids live healthy and get an education!
How sweet of you! I would choose the USO or similar org who helps the children of fallen soldiers. (can't remember the name right now.) thanks for such a nice giveaway!
I'd donate money to whatever your local animal protection organization is - RSPCA, Humane Society, whatever. I'm in the UK, but it wouldn't matter to me where it is as long as animals somewhere are being helped. There's nothing that hurts my heart more than abused or uncared-for pets who are completely unable to help themselves. That's a lovely giveaway idea, and, obviously, the fabrics are lovely too! :) Thanks for the giveaway chance!
I love the fabric...Thanks for the chance. As for the charity, it would have to be for a childrens hospice...I have four healthy happy children for which I am very thankful.
AMH flannel ~ yum!
I would love a donation to the Ronald McDonald House charity. My nephew spent the first six weeks of his life in an NICU a couple of hours from his home (he was born with a cleft pallet and had difficulty breathing and nursing and ultimately ended up having a feeding tube surgically inserted and faces several more surgeries at this cranial-facial specialty unit) and was just brought home last week. The Ronald McDonald House graciously provided a place to stay next to the Hospital for my BIL and SIL so they could be with their son. They will have to stay there each time he has surgery. If it wasn't for this charity they would not have been able to afford to be there for him!
Thanks for this chance. Cheers!
My charity of choice is the Sierra Club. I think that it is extremely important for us to be stewards of the earth. Bonus: my oldest daughter is named Sierra.
What a wonderful idea, to include a donation!
I would like to donate to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), as so many species are on the brink of extinction, and I find that a very scary thought...
Thank you!
Sabine
sushi (at) telenet (dot) be
Awesome giveaway! I'd have you donate to Heifer.org because the things I've heard about them are so great. Thanks for the giveaway!
Great idea for a giveaway! I'd give to an organization called Mustard Seeds. They provide homemade meals to seniors out in Cape Cod. It is run by volunteers and they make the food from scratch. Great people.
I love all animals and would donate to the ASPCA to help save all those animals. If I win and if you would like, you could donate to a local shelter in your area. Thank you for the chance to win!! I hope I have as good of luck as you have lately :)
I would donate to World Vision to help fight hunger around the world. Thanks for the chance.
ktyoung1(at)gmail(dot)com
Flannels are one of my favourite fabrics to play with! My heart is telling me that the S.P.C.A. would be the choice for me. I'm a huge animal lover.
This is such a wonderful and generous idea, thank you
Carolyn
I'm a new follower! I love your blog!!
Carolyn
I would choose Compassion International. http://www.compassion.com/
- I sponsor 2 children with Compassion. They are so wonderful. I love getting their letters and pictures. Compassion lifts these children out of poverty, provides them with clothing, food, education, and love. They also provide job training for the parents.
Sponsoring Claudia and Raul may save them from poverty, but they have saved me from wealth.
P.S. Lovely fabric!! Dec 17th is my birthday, so winning would make the day extra-special.
What a kind and generous giveaway. One of my favourite charities is Partners International a Christian organization that provides for the poor, homeless and destitute in Third World countries.
Just found your blog and am now a follower.
I love your charity idea!
My choice is CHOICE Humanitarian. They do incredible pro-literacy. anti-poverty, self reliant type work all over the world. They have had their methods/philosophies duplicated multiple time by multiple organizations because they are so effective.
mcheaston at gmail dot com
I REALLY like me some AMH!
For my charity I would choose a donation to Cliffy's adoption fun through Reese's Rainbow. I first saw this through another blogger's post. I cried and cried as I read it and looked at the precious face. I pray he has a family soon.

What a lovely and generous giveaway... I would contribute to the National Downs Syndrome Society... Thank you!
What a lovely idea! I don't live in the US so if I win I would let you choose a charity (I usually help one in my country - Portugal - that gives shelter to neglected children). Thanks for the chance!
ap_lemos at yahoo dot com
If I won, I would have you donate, or LOAN, actually to a KIVA applicant. I have heard great things about this program and plan to give myself!
http://www.kiva.org/about
This is the best idea yet!! I'd love for you to contribute to THE FOUR DIAMONDS (they are connected with Hershey Medical Center and Penn State) They help kids with cancer--families don't have to worry about money because the Diamond pay anything not paid by insurance -- so no child dies because they don't have enough money to pay for the cure. One of these children is my grandson George -- he was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year and my daughter and I do anything we can to make money for thr 4 diamonds -- they are a remarkable organization that literally saves lives.
I am thankful for a wonderful husband who does not complain when I disappear into my sewing area and don't reappear until hours later!!! All the while he is watching the kids!!!
I would donate to any local breast cancer foundation. Thanks for the giveaway :}
How sweet you are. I would love a donation to Animal Charities of America.
oooh, i have been thinking about flannel quilts! its getting really cold here in Indiana! id love a donation to Kate's Kart (http://www.kateskart.org/). i volunteer for Kate's Kart and we hand out books to babies/kids in NICU, sug wards, emergency rooms...after delivering 2 preemie babies at this hospital, i was looking for a way to give back..Kate's Kart is so fulfilling to me! thanks for a wonderful giveaway!
i am extremely and eternally thankful for my baby boy jayden.
What a wonderful and generous give away! I would pick the MS society as they have helped me personally and so I know what a difference they can make to people with MS and their families.
This is such a great giveaway! I love the idea of giving a donation to a charity! If I won, I would choose One Child Campaign. It is a charity organization started by amazing friends of ours that gives aid to orphans find their forever families, something near and dear to my heart. Thank you so much for the wonderful giveaway.
What a great idea for a giveaway! I mean, I love the flannels, but the charity part is wonderful. I'd pick Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres, for all the good and necessary work they do the world over in places that are in dire need.
I'm so thankful for this giveaway! What a great way to reflect on how blessed we are. I would choose to give to The School of St Jude in Tanzania, a small sponsorship-funded school that my family has worked with.
I would choose my local food bank. My husband teaches in the public schools in our city and we see kids who are helped by the local food bank regularly. It is so important! It is the worcester county food bank. (And yes, online donation is available). Thank you so much for this incredibly generous and truly thoughtful giveaway! I am humbled by your post.

Congratulations on your lucky streak!! I'd love the chance at one myself!
The fabric is fabulous and I would love to win it! I'd also LOVE to win a donation to www.caringbridge.org
CaringBridge provides free websites that connect people experiencing a significant health challenge to family and friends, making each health journey easier. CaringBridge is powered by generous donors.

A friends 18mo old daughter was diagnosed with a rare lung cancer in Sept. They have been able to keep their vast family and friends updated on Lacys progress through CaringBridge :)
Sorry my comment was so long :)
I'm also a follower :)
Compassion International. I'm so so so impressed by your generosity :)
Great blog! I put you on the side of mine so I can follow you.
How awesome and generous of you! I think I would pick the food bank where I live - I hate the idea of anyone going hungry. Thanks!
what a wonderful idea, you are so generous! i would pick the water project, which provides clean water through well building, etc. clean water makes such a big difference, there are many diseases we can eradicate so simply!
asdrexler at gmail dot com
So many good charities to choose from. I'm partial to the David Suzuki Foundation, The Elizabeth Frye Society and of coure United Way does really solid work.
I would donate to the Humane Society. Pets bring so mush joy to people and shouldn't be forgotten! Thanks for the chance!
My charity of choice is the March of Dimes because the organization addresses unmet maternal and infant health needs. Thank for participating in Giveaway Day!
Hi, Kristie -- I have become a follower!
I love to keep donations local, so if I win I'd like you to donate the money to YOUR local animal shelter! And btw, I love your blog header- If you get a chance to look through my blog someday, you'll see that County Fair is by far my most used fabric line!
And I'm a follower!
What a generous and thoughtful giveaway! I've not yet sewn with the AMH flannels and I hear they're a dream. If I were to win, I would ask that you please consider donating to the Kyron Horman fund. Kyron is a little boy who went missing earlier this year from his elementary school about two miles from where I used to live in Portland. I live in Seattle now but have been following the story diligently. I am hoping for a happy ending for Kyron and his family...especially during this time of year. Donations can be made at any Bank of America Branch (not sure online or not, though?)
Thanks so much!
Every 60 seconds a woman dies of a pregnancy related cause. I would donate to Birthing Hope. They provide birthing kits to skilled birth attendants. What a way to reach out to other mothers around the world.
I would donate to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library that helps children own books at home to read. So hard to choose one charity. It reminds me of a favorite episode of a TV show called Sports Night, where a character was wondering how to choose one charity over another. The conclusion was to just get in the game!
You've had such luck winning things! My choice of charity would be The Lung Association. My grandmother died of lung cancer and my sister has had asthma since she was a baby.
I would like my donation to go to breast cancer because my mom has suffered with it.
I have donated to oxfam in the past, and they have oxfam unwrapped where you can donate a goat, or a beehive, or a bike(things like that) in someones name and they get a card telling them about it. If you still have to find gifts for people it's worth looking into. Thank you for the chance to win some nice fabric and for the generous donation. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated wherever it ends up.

Oh, wow, that is very generous of you to donate to any charity. I will think of that the next time I make a giveaway!
I would love to give your money (that actually sounds very weird...) to a charity called Adventskalender. It is a cooperation of different Munich based companies and they grant people that live in Germany their wishes. Of course not the usual stuff we get for our kids but a new washing machine for the single mom of four kids or a new toy for the cancer kid whose parents can't afford it because of the expenses for his desease.
I know that these are actually luxuries, that there are many many people barely surviving in other parts of the world but it is a start. And maybe the cancer kid will grow up to be a doctor in Namibia?
And because I haven't checked if they accept donations online my backup plan would be doctors without borders because I think that they are doing a pretty great job, too.
And as for the AMH flannel that would be extra cool :)
Thanks for having this giveaway and a merry christmas!
I would donate to Daybreak Pregnancy Resource Center in Boston: http://www.daybreakinc.org/Donate.php
PS: I want those fabrics bad!
Wow, what a generous give-away! This is my favourite that I've entered. If I won, I would choose the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Prince George, BC. They do amazing work with families in our area.
Awesome, awesome giveaway--I'd like to donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital; my uncle died of leukemia when he was twelve, and I've always wondered what it would have been like to meet him.
I like Heifer International (and have already donated this year) because even relatively small donations can help a family grow their own food or gain a livelihood!
Those fabrics are lovely. I would probably donate to LDS Philanthropies. They do a lot of good around the world.
shardcastle@live.com
What a lovely thing to give away. If I were the lucky winner I would choose this for the donation http://liferearranged.com/2010/11/make-christmas-count-for-cliff/.
I would say for a charity that the breast cancer web You can also help just by signing on their site and clicking a button...which provides breast exams to those in need...
please enter my name in your lovely drawing...
ladycolmn(at)aol(dot)com
bonnie in Florida USA...
I would choose Baby Safe. They are impacting the lives of young mothers, and literally saving baby's lives!
I'd pick the Humane Society. The holidays are a really rough time for animals; lots of people give small pets or young animals for Christmas and many end up in shelters because they are unwanted or "too much work". It's a heartbreaker.
ebickell at hotmail dot com
Wow, that is such a generous giveaway and a lovely sentiment! Awesome! I would pick the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Happy holidays to you and yours! (I'm now following your blog!) :)
I would choose Kiva.org. A wonderful organization that has helped millions of people inprove their lives through microfinancing.
Salvation Army as they are one of the few charitable organizations whose CEO's aren't raking in most of what we donate.
melacan at hotmail dto com
I love the fabric! :) for charity i would recommend World Vision where they sponsor a child in the third world country.
The 50 dollars can be donated to their Disaster Response Fund
http://www.worldvision.org/
Blessed Christmas
Congrats on all of the fun wins! :-) I am thankful to be expecting! After having my daughter we had 2 pregnancy losses, so it is such a time of rejoicing for us & I am very thankful this holiday season! :-) Thanks for the giveaway!
How wonderful!! I would choose the American Cancer Society because my mom died as a result of her battle with cancer when I was 15. This Christmas I'm grateful for my children and the time I get to spend with them!
Jess

What a wonderful giveaway... I would choose International Justice Mission. My husband and his sisters have recorded a c.d. about injustice and trafficking and all of the proceeds go to organizations like IJM so their ministry is very close to my heart. Have a wonderful holiday. :)
I would donate to Stand Up 2 Cancer, in honor of a childhood friend and young mother who is battling Lymphoma. But for the grace ....
Thanks for the chance to win!
What a lovely giveaway! Thanks for sharing...
How about a gift for http://www.quiltsforkids.org/
Wow what a wonderful giveaway. If I were to win I would send the money to Kiva. I love helping people less fortunate than me. Kiva offers microloans ...once they are repaid, the money can be lent again.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I would support the local Habitat for Humanity project as I can see the difference it makes.

Some amazing people I know started a group called The Preemptive Love Coalition (PLC). They live in the Kurdish region of Iraq and work to provide heart surgeries for Iraqi and Kurdish children. There are NO surgeons currently trained in Iraq to help children born with heart defects. In most of our countries, these kids would receive surgery and grow up normally. In Iraq, being born with a heart defect is always terminal -- until now. PLC works to get some kids to other countries for surgery and is now bringing western doctors in to perform surgery and train the Iraqi doctors to do them. It's an amazing group that's helped almost 60 kids in the past few years!
Thanks for the chance to enter!
mab(at)onepost(dot)net
I'm following, too. :) And, I've decided something: If I win, I'll use the fabrics to make a quilt for a child going in to heart surgery with the Preemptive Love Coalition. You've inspired me!
Thanks for the chance to enter!

I would donate to a local area women's shelter. It must be scary to be abused and alone. Thank you for the giveaway.
I would ask that the donation be made to St Louis Children's Hospital's Cardiology Unit. My daughter was born with a heart condition and has had (and will have more) surgeries there. They've taken such good care of us and countless others.
What a wonderful giveaway!
I am also a follower. Thank you for the chance to win!
What a fantastic giveaway! I'd donate to Habitat for Humanity if I won, I've volunteered on their builds before and love what they do for so many families. :) Thanks for the chance to win, oh and the flannel is absolutely lovely too!

Every December and June I give money to my local food bank, Alameda County Food Bank in California. In the summer they feed many children who are no longer receiving free school lunches. I donate to them because food is a basic human need, because they support the most vulnerable individuals and families, and because they are a very highly rated charity. This winter I also plan to donate to Help a Mother Out, which provides diapers to low income families (I have a toddler and a newborn. What if I couldn't afford diapers?!), and to the local toy drive.
How special Kristie! AMH coziness AND a charitable donation? Awesome. I would chose the BC Cancer Foundation in support of the Weekend to End Women's Cancer. I formed a team to do the 60km walk in Vancouver next summer after I completed last summer's walk. I've got 15 friends signed up and we're walking for all of our crafty friends who are suffering from cancer, including a survivor and a current patient, both on our team! Thank you for this inspiring give away.
those are great fabrics! the charity I would choose is samaritan's purse. they run the operation christmas child program, filling shoeboxes with gifts and practical items children in third world countries.

So many worthy causes. Your generosity has me thinking about all the good that's being done in the world, and how thankful I am for those who are doing it. If I won, I would request my donation to go to the Ronald McDonald House, in memory of my niece Beth Anne. When she was tiny and required hospitalization, the Ronald McDonald House was a comforting place for her mother and sisters to stay.

Thanks Kelly

I would give to the local soup kitchen. The line seems so much longer these days.

I am so thankful for my faith in the Lord and for all the blessings he has given me this year. Thank you for such a great giveaway!
Merry Christmas!
We donate every quarter 40 usd for poor children in Phu Quoc, a small island in Vietnam. 40 usd pay for eating and school fees of an poor child there in 4 MONTHS. If I were lucky enough, I´d like do the same in the name of you. Thanks for your generosity.
I´m also your reader
Great giveaway! My charity choice would be kidswishnetwork.org
Happy Holidays!
Warm regards, Helle (hellest@hotmail.com)
What a WONDERFUL giving giveaway! Totally awesome. Warm fuzzy of the flannels match the warm fuzzy of our hearts with your donation to the charity of our choice.
My mother in law had Parkinsons for 20 years before she passed a week before our wedding. The Michael J Fox Foundation is a charity close to our hearts, especially with DH who is in medical research. If we won, we'd chose his foundation for the donation. Plus he's our favorite Canadian....next to you....ok, now that's a total suck up!! :)
I am a new follower. Thanks again for the wonderful giveaway. Hope you and yours have a wonderful Holiday :)

I would choose Heifer International, I think they do amazing work. I am thankful for my friends and family. Happy holidays!
I would choose Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto as that's where I receive my health care and they are amazing people who take great care of me.
Wow, what an awesome idea for a giveaway! I would pick La Leche League Canada as the help I received from them as a new mother was invaluable.

Those flannels are so pretty; I love AMH! It may sound "boring," but I would love to donate to the American Cancer Society. My father-in-law died of cancer a few years ago, and I have several family members on my side who are fighting cancer right now (some winning, some losing). Every dollar we could put toward finding cures and fighting this disease is a blessing.
Thank you for your great giveaway and I would choose the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge as a place for charitable donation.
I am soo thankful for my family. Even though I complain a lot because I live so far away from them, I need to remember that they are just a phone call away. Some people are not so lucky.
My charity of choice is NARSAD. It's an organization dedicated to research that combats mental illness. My youngest brother had schizophrenia and died about 5 years ago. It's my way of remembering him.
Wonderful idea! Congratulations on your winning streak. My favorite charity is The American Cancer Society. Love flannel:)
Since you're a fellow Canadian, I would choose ACORN Canada as my charity. They do great work on poverty issues in Canada.
Thanks for the great giveaway!
I would choose Samritan's Purse. They serve in so many countries and in so many ways. And they utilize so many volunteers to serve! The Red Cross is also an excellent organization.
I'd choose Gospel for Asia as they work with the Dalit children in India who have no other opportunity for an education and the opportunity to hear the Gospel and an opportunity for a decent life.
What a nice giveaway and lovely to donate to a worthy charity. I would ask you to donate to the RSPCA or whatever is the equilavent in your Country (prevention of cruelty to animals).Unfortunately at this time of year, many pets are abandoned because their owners would rather have a holiday and can't be bothered making arrangements for someone to care for their pets.:-( Makes me mad and sad.
Happy Xmas to you from Australia! Sandy :-)

What a wonderful and generous giveaway! During this holiday season, we often forget the 4 legged friends who are in need also. My favorite charity (among many) is www.RockinPRescue.org and I LOVE the flannels!!
christyd8(at)bellsouth(dot)net
what a generous giveaway.
i'd honestly have to think about the donation question further and research a bit if I were to win. My first inclination would be to say the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, since I've done stuff with them in the past, but since you're not IN America, i kind of feel like it should be a more international thing... maybe EDWON? Or one of the programs Better World Books promotes to bring books to kids who wouldn't otherwise have any...
thanks for the opportunity to win! :)

How fun! I would love to win your giveaway! My favorite charity is Lutheran Social Services of the South.

We just recently started giving to "Operation Smile." The pictures of those little darlings are so sweet and the procedure they need is relatively simple and helps so much. Thank you for the give-away chance and Happy Holidays.
Yes, I am a new follower.
I would choose Autism Speaks. I have a friend who has two autistic children, and it is really a challenge for her.
You could donate to Journey's End Refugee Services, a non-profit agency that helps newly arrived refugees start their lives in the US.
What lovely idea for a giveaway prize. I would choose Médecins Sans Frontières (or Doctors Without Borders as I understand it is called in the US).
Thanks for the great giveaway! The fabrics are AWESOME!
I would donate to Promise Village Home for Children in MI. A wonderful program to help at-risk boys from getting into big trouble in the future. They use equine therapy (horses), teach them to garden, plug them in spiritually, etc. I have seen some of those wonderful young men's lives changed for the better!
I'd choose my church's Haiti mission. I'm pretty sure you can make an online donation, though I'd have to ask my husband how (yes, you can guess who handles the money in this family!). We have 2 parishes in Haiti that have grown hugely, and of course since the earthquake they need more help than ever.
Thanks for the giveaway!

I would donate to Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer http://www.mhf.org/index.php. They are a huge help to families with children with Cancer. When my nephew was diagonosed with cancer they were there to support my brother and his wife. They also help families with children with cancer get together and create a support community. Thanks for the chance.
I am so moved by the fact that you are going such a generous charitable donation! I am a social worker and I deal with great need every day! I think the charity that I would donate too (and this was VERY hard to choose) would be meals on wheels. I think the charity as a while does a wonderful job for lots of people! THank you for such a wonderful giveaway!
Lovely giveaway. I'd ask for a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in memory of Lucie Germer, blogger and knitter extraordinaire.
What cute flannel! And such a generous donation! I would have to pick the ASPCA. I love animals and think that so many of them deserve a second chance!
I think, especially during this season, I would choose the Feeding America charity or some other food charity. Thanks!

I would love for the donation to go to the SPCA or other organization that helps homeless animals!
that is a very generous giveaway. I would choose compassion international. My husband and I sponsor a boy through them and we know they are really making an impact on people around the world. I give 15% of everything I earn in my shop to them. Thank you for the chance to win!

Double thank you!!! The fabric is gorgeous, and what a great idea to donate to charity. My husband works at a community development organization in the inner city, and they can always use donations: www.theotherway.org
i would love to win for musana children's home (musana.org) in uganda, africa. my daughter worked there for a year and i was privileged to work with her for 2 weeks. precious children, orphaned by aids, now loved at musana.
I have 2 causes (in Canada)that I like and it would be up to you.
The first is the Alzheimer's Society. I worked in nursing homes as a recreation person (each had their own title)
The second is Sick Kids in TO. I had a cousin who was very sick when he was little and died at the age of 4. He had SCIDS. Sick Kids did a lot for them (as well as Ronald McDonald house)
Great giveaway! Thanks for the chance!
I am thankful for qvar. My four asthmatic kids have had a wonderfully attack-free season ever since they started taking it! No doctor's visits, no hospital stays! Hooray for modern medicine!
lbcruzeathotmaildotcom
I would choose the National Fibromyalgia Association which focuses on improving the lives of people with this illness. I can't tell you how much I have appreciated this group and their support over the last 13 years since I was diagnosed.
Thank you - I think this is the best giveaway yet. I'll have to find where you would donate online - I know you can just need to find out where.

I love working with flannels - I make lap quilts and baby quilts and line them with fleece on the back and this would be a nice addition to my stash.

You have a wonderful blog and are so talented! I've enjoyed the 'visit' and seeing your hoop ornament. What a lovely giveaway - thanks for sharing. I would support Compassion International - it's near and dear to my heart. Happy December-ing!
Congrats on the beautiful prizes, and thank you for your generous and wonderful offerings.
I am so thankful that I still have my beautiful, sweet mother with me. Three years ago she suffered 2 strokes, which scared us all. She has bounced back amazingly well, and I am grateful for her every day.
I would choose to donate to Oxfam Canada. We are fortunate to live in a country with unlimited possibilities for even the poorest amongst us (even if it is challenging). Oxfam Canada works to combat poverty in developing nations by creating sustainable communities and ensuring women's rights globally.
Hugs from snowy northern ON,
Heidi

I would choose the red cross. We had a tornado yesterday about 60 miles from here. They were there immediately.
Oh I adore that flannel so much! I even used one of those prints for my new daughter's receiving blanket. Would love to have some for another project.
I would love to donate to Heifer Foundation (heifer.org). A donation to them goes to battle hunger and also to aid in sustainability. The donations are also fun (Great christmas presents!) as you can choose animals to give/donate people. It has been really neat watching this organization grow over the years.
I am really grateful for your reminder of charitable giving. Thanks for making me think some more about this during what can be a busy time of year.
What a great idea for a giveaway - a donation! Awesome! If I win, please donate the $$ to your local humane society.
I am a new follower of your blog.
World Vision is a great place to donate, they are wonderful. What a great giveaway and that vintage dress you won...WOW, I love it!!

What a great idea for a giveaway! I think I would want the $ to go to Women's Refuge - to help support those women and children trying to get out of abusive relationships this christmastime.
What a generous giveaway! If I won, I would love to see a donation sent to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. My boyfriend's father passed away on Christmas 2005 after a two year struggle with this disease. I have hope that someday a cure will be found.
thanks for the lovely giveaway . Love the idea of yours to donate to charity of our choice. Ours has always been st.Jude childrens hospital. There is nothing more satisfying than helping the precious gifts (children) from god.
I am thankful for sleep, these days! (Actually, I'm thankful to my husband for taking the baby so that I can sleep. :) )
I would have to mull on a charity for a bit. :)
New discovery blog, but I like it, so I'm now a follower!
Oh wow, those fabrics are SO hard to get here! I would ask that the money be donated to Compassion. We have sponsored two children in Kenya for years and the difference made is humbling.
