One of the first quilts I made was for a sweet little girl named McKinley. I had such fun with it and so many questions about it I ended up making the pattern available- you can see it on my sidebar or click here. Anyways, it is really cool seeing stuff made by your tutorials pop up in the blogosphere (maybe I should make a Flickr group??), and today Kelli tipped me off that Natalia at Piece N Quilt had posted one on her blog yesterday. She did some magical quilting on a quilt made by MaryAnn.... take a look at this!
Nicely done, ladies!
I absolutely love your McKinley quilt and I am going to attempt it as soon as I get all the fabric for it, hopefully sometime this weekend. I am SOOO new to quilting but really want to make this quilt for my girls' rooms. Then I saw this one this morning and it is just gorgeous!! Kudos to the lovely work they did. I did have a question, being a newbie, how in the world did they do the flowers in the middle of those blocks? I am still doing my research/learning on what it really means to quilt a quilt top. I am just in awe of how someone does this on a sewing machine. I thought I could do alot with my machine :). Thanks for sharing all of your work!!
ReplyDeleteThat is some gorgeous quilting!
ReplyDeleteWow, that quilting work is divine! It's so funny that you posted this, because I used your tutorial for a quilt top I just finished (I sort of combined it with another quilt pattern, so my blocks are a bit different)...I'm starting the quilting after the weekend, so hopefully I'll be able to post completed photos soon! The tutorial was really really helpful!
