A few fun things coming up here at OCD that I thought I would let you know about...so as my 4 year old says whenever she has something exciting to tell me, hold on to your panties!
First up, if you were a follower of mine last summer (which, let's face it, most of you weren't!), I had a little week of fun that I called Bag Lady Week. I showed off a few purses and bags I had made, as well as debuted 2 of my tutorials, my Messenger Bag Pattern and the Bias Tote Bag Pattern. I am a sucker for a good bag (aren't most of us?), so I thought this year I would do it again, make Bag Lady Week a bit of a tradition! So, mark your calendars: Bag Lady Week will return the week of August 29! It will include a week full of new tutorials, guest posts, pattern reviews and daily giveaways, all with a bag theme, of course!
A big thanks to the very talented Lee at Freshly Pieced who designed my adorable Bag Lady Week button. She is currently in the running for a fabric design contest at Connecting Threads. You can check out her entry, Flourish, and submit your vote here.
Second of all, I am excited to announce that I am going to be co-hosting a quilt along in October with a new bloggy friend of mine, Kate of Needle and Spatula. The "official" announcement and details will be in September! But I will give you a hint....it may involve some "drunken" behavior ;)
Also in the works, some "baking"....
And , very exciting... I have a new baby. A Go! Baby, that is ;)
Just like a real baby, this one took far too long to arrive- it was sent in mid-July but due to a Customs kerfuffle, it only just arrived. My brain runneth over with ideas to try- I will be sure to share them with you soon. AND, one of my lucky readers will get the chance to win one, too :) In the meantime, check out the link below to get a bunch of free patterns that you can make with Go! dies (they can be made without the dies as well!).
Anyways, between all that, and the ridiculously unrealistic list of Christmas gifts I plan to make, it will be hopping around here! Stick around to watch the craziness unfold ;)
Final words- in case you are interested, I have started up some fun on Pinterest. I could be lost for hours looking at all the amazing photos over there! Feel free to take a peek at my collections of pretty here.
You're in good company with Kate/Needle and Spatula. She made me some fab AMH place mats that get used on a daily basis as I was her swap partner in the Spicing Up The Kitchen Swap on FLickr.

ReplyDeleteMine sits, sadly neglected, in its little sleeping bag! I just can't start a new project right now!
Love the bag lady idea! I wasn't a blog lurker last year so I missed it. Never done a QAL and would love to do one...even a drunken one! I hope you love your Go! baby. I actually just won one, so I hope customs takes pity on me and delivers it in a timely manner!
