Sorry! This giveaway is now closed!
I am starting to feel a wee bit guilty about the stash of fabrics. And the amount of time I would (honestly) need to sew them all up in their glory. My "to make" list is a mile long, of things I am aching to get to.....
Anyhoo, as mentioned I recently bought some fat quarters of Kate Spain's Fandango when I was at a local quilt shop. Love them. BUT. No plan for them. No time for them. Want 'em?
Up for grabs: these 6 fat quarters.
Up to 3 chances to walk away with the prize:
1. Leave me a comment about a purchase you feel guilty about...fabric, clothes, whatever!
2. Leave a second comment if you are a follower- because you guys are great :)
3. If you want to blog about it, leave a third comment.
Open for international as well as local friends. Winner will be announced on Friday March 25 after noon sometime (CST).
Best of luck!

I feel guilty about buying chocolate when I'm supposed to be cutting it out.
Paying the going rate for three VHTF KJR FQ. The yards I could have purchased for that little bit.
... and as a follower I'd like to say that the colours of those fat quarters are gorgeous!
Plus, I love following you, keep up the awesome inspiration!!!
Don't enter me in because I don't need it either but I needed to get off my chest that when I bought my current sewing machine, I had it delivered to my work and sneaked it in the house when husband was not around. Yes, I paid for it myself but I still couldn't bring myself to tell him how much I paid because men just don't 'get' the value of sewing machines. I knew he's be sitting there thinking...'but that's the price of a second hand car ;-)
I always feel guilty about shoes... because how many pairs do I need, really? But I can't resist sometimes. :)

I feel guilty anytime i buy anything thats not for my kids (like they need anything else...)

I feel guilty about buying myself anything-clothes, craft things, fabric and always feel I need to justify it. It's a bad habit to get into, one I created on my own. I have no problem buying things for my kids or husband guilt free, I guess I need to change :)

I store most (but not all!) of my yarn on a shelf that's hidden behind the door to my office. That door is rarely closed so the shelf is rarely exposed. The other day my son was looking for something and checked out that shelf. He called out to me "you've got a LOT of yarn back here!" Yup, major guilty feeling after that.
I've been following you for a while on NewsFire, but I signed up today to follow through Google.
i am follower, my feather weight machine... but it was such a good price....
Yesterday I bought two new shirts. I didn't feel guilty until I realized how much money I had spent this weekend on other stuff - lunch out with a friend, quilt batting, antique spools and milk bottles...it adds up. Plus, my husband and I are going away next week. I should have waited. Oh well...
I am a follower too! Love the fandango fabric :)
OMG, Fandango! Love those fabrics :) Maybe once I will be lucky enough... And ybout being guilty... I'm always guilty when I buy fabric. It's really much money which could be spend for something else. I don't even want to calculate how much I spent up to now... I think I could go for some luxury holidays for those money... very luxury holidays ;)
I'm a follower of course :)
Info about your giveaway is on the left sidebar of my blog.
I am a follower on Google reader, I would love the fabric, thanks!

I would feel guilty about buying yarn and then hide it from my husband. Now my addiction is beautiful fabric. I have three girls who are loving the fabric I buy. Need to build up my stash!
I am also a follower.
Recently purchased a BOLT of Peltex 70, when I really needed Peltex 71. :-( Feeling stupid.
I almost always feel guilty about buying fabric, especially when I tell myself I'm not going to. A destash giveaway might be a good idea for me, too.
I follow!
Thanks so much for the chance to win!
I have quite a few guilty purchases sitting around - fabric bought without a project in mind, dresses bought without an occasion in mind, and waaay to many sweets!
I'm a follower :)
Those are beautiful fabrics *fingers crossed*!
Oh gosh, I always feel guilty about my fabric purchases. Lately I seem to be unable to stop myself from pressing the place order now button. Maybe I need to join a fabricholics anonymous meeting :)
I'm a follower! Those fabrics are delish :)
OK, this is a bit of a ramble..
A recent-ish guilty purchase was our new curtains. I love them! But it was BAD timing. They're thinner than our old ones, and summer was a hot one. No worries, except the aircon broke! It would've been cooler if we had the old curtains up... PLUS I emptied my bank account to buy them, and with Christmas, car trouble, and other bills we've been absolutely scratching ever since I bought them - oh dear!
How's that for a guilty purchase? Ooops!
I recently bought 2 yards each of 4 different beautifully coordinated fabrics. I couldn't help myself as they were so lovely together. However, I am feeling guilty because they were a complete impulse purchase. I must now figure out how I'll use them. Sigh...so much fabric, so little time.
I've been following your blog through a link of my favorite blogs to read on my own blog for quite a while now but today I have "officially" joined as a follower on your blog. Did that make sense? Oh well, I'm definitely a follower.
I felt so guilty about buying fabric recently. I absolutely not needed it!!! But know I am quite strong for the last six weeks. I love fandango and would love to win.

I am a follower, and I have purchased some fabrics for simply having it at the time.while I have a 10x12 storage bin half full of totes.I am trying to use that up for donation quilts to help me feel less guilty.

Oh, I love Fandango! Latest guilty purchase: Yet another cookbook thingy at the check-out stand, that like the many before it, I haven't even used three weeks later. . .
Hmmm I can not think of anything right now that I have bought that made me think of being guilty afterwards. As for fabric, I shop my stash right now, trying to use up all the old stuff, and the scraps too. Those are some pretty fabrics, and they might go great with a quilt I am working on right now.
I'm a regular follower :D
I always feel guilty when I purchase fabric that I have no plan for!!! But I do have a Fandango jelly roll that I started making a quilt out of and am worried it won't be anywhere near big enough... so I certainly wouldn't feel guilty winning these FQ's!!! Thanks for the chance to win!
And I'm a follower :)
I feel guilty about the jelly rolls and honey buns that I've purchased...I can't seem to open them up to use...they are so pretty...but FQ I DO use!
unfortunately I have a very small stash :(
so I rarely feel guilty as I buy what I need (however I would LOVE to buy what I want too!)
but while on vacay visiting my mom I found Alexander Henry's fashionista black and white cathedral windows fabric at joanns--for $5!!!
I was so excited, I instantly bought 2 yards...
that's not the guilty part...
i then came home and couldn't get it out of my head --i have no plan for this fabric and yet I wanted it--ALL OF IT!!
so I called the store and bought the remainder of the bolt over the phone (6 yards--eeep!)
and had my mom pick it up...
the guilty part...i did not tell the hubby!

Hi! I love your posts and check in every day. My guilty purchases would HAVE to be fabric. I went to the local fabric shop recently to look in the remnants bin - good intentions - and walked out with $30 of fabric with NO plans for it. I felt very sheepish - fortunately I have an understanding hubbie!!
I have to say, honestly, that I feel guilty about every purchase. This is mostly because I have been moving around for two years and the majority of my stash is sitting in a storage locker and I have now managed to accumulate a sizable mobile stash!
---and did I mention above that I follow every day?
I'm a new follower - but I've been reading your blog thru Google Reader for some time.
My guilty pleasure is clothes. I have a ton with tags still on but I am weeding through them.
My husband and I recently celebrated our 10th anniversary and we went out this weekend and bought a diamond anniversary band and some beautiful earrings. I love them, but when I think of the money we spent ... yikes! He keeps telling me I'm worth it, so I'm going to make up my mind to enjoy them!! Thanks for the generous giveaway! I've been coveting some Fandango! dmlash04@msn.com
Well, I want to sign up for the Sewing Summit that's going to be in October this year, but I guess I'm feeling a bit guilty about that. So it's guilt before the purchase is even made! Thanks for the chance at such lovely fabric.
Yes, I sure am a follower.
Feeling guilty about all the clothes hanging in my closet that I don't wear.
I'm a OCD follower.
Lately I feel guilty whenever I purchase fabric at all! We just put an offer in on a new house and it got accepted, so no Jo-Ann visits for quite awhile!
I am a follower of your wonderful blog.
A purchase I feel guilty about...Well I am El Cheapo so I feel guilty about a lot of purchases. I'm trying to get over that. When I have to buy new running shoes I cringe a little, even though they are worth every penny!
Thanks for the great chance to win. I often feel guilty about my fabric purchases...especially last time when I bought some AB French Wallpaper (one of my all time favourite prints) and then realized that I already owned 1/2 a yard!
I bought a large amount of home deco fabric to make bedroom curtains. But I wasn't thinking correctly and got my math wrong-it isn't enough to make curtains for both windows. So the fabric sits in a drawer. Also in that drawer is fabric to make my Other Half a kindle case. But the pattern I'm using requires me to do my own math to properly fit it for our kindle model and I'm HORRIBLE at that. I am so intimidated and feel so guilty about that drawer of unused fabric.

I feel guilty about some expensive work shoes I bought about a month before I quit. Haven't worn them since.
I'm the queen of guilt. Anytime I spend money on fabric, myself or my grandson, I feel guilty. Ha!!

I feel guilty about buying SCAL for my Cricut...it was on sale for $40 so I bought it just incase ProvoCraft wins the lawsuit and new SCAL programs don't work with Cricut in the future.

We are on a budget and every time I spend even $2-$3 on fabric with coupons from Joann I feel guilty. I went "hog wild" a few weeks ago an spent a full $10 at one time and I was so ashamed, but I couldn't make myself not do it. I now have just vowed to stay away from Joanns until I have the money for it. LOL!
I am a follower as well.
I feel guilty about a pair of pants I just bought. Enough that Im actually going to take them back today because I found the receipt.

I always feel guilty -- One day I'll have my "own" money to buy all of my fabric and craft supplies with but right now my hubby works so hard, pays all the bills and come his payday I'm making a fabric order.

This weekend I went thrifting. I got a tabletop ironing board. It cost me $3.93. I'm ok with that purchase, it's what I went for! HOWEVER, I left the store with 2 huge bags of clothes - spent $49!!! I do feel a little guilty abut that - I bought the clothes for the FABRIC - they're not even my size :)
I bought 5 yards of fabric the other day! I felt guilty at first but they are basics so they will get used no matter what!

I gave up buying fabric for Lent, but I bought fabric anyway! My justification for buying it was that my sister is having a wedding shower in April, and it was announced after I made my Lenten promise. I am makeing her a casserole carrier that will match the apron I made her at Christmas.
I feel guilty about the ice cream I just bought because it was on sale. As if we need a pail of caramel pecan sundae ice cream sitting in the freezer, calling our names! :)
And I follow your blog!
I also feel bad about buying some fabric. I'm new to quilting and kept seeing that everyone talks about their stash. I fell into the thought that I too needed a stash so I bought fabric with no projects in mind.
I don't feel guilty about buying fabric, since my husband knows it's my hobby/sanity, and he has his own expensive hobbies! I tend to feel guilty buying expensive purses or shoes. I don't spend a lot on my clothes, but when it comes to purses and shoes, I'm all about quality ... : )
Thanks for the giveaway.

Fabric is just about the only thing I buy that makes me feel guilty. I don't have a machine, so I have to go one project at a time. So, when I inevitably see fabric that I have a plan for (eventually), I buy it, and then feel guilty for not waiting. Bad times.
I'm also a follower!
I do feel guilty when I buy fabric that is cute and with no plan to use it. The lastest was a few elephant prints. However, I decided they will make adorable strip quilts to send to Japan. Light at the end of every tunnel! And oh how I love Fandango! Would be perfect for the backing of a Fandango criss-cross quilt I am nearly finished piecing *fingers crossed*
I also so enjoy following along... lots of inspiration to be had here!
Fabric is always a guilty purchase for me, only because my hubby makes it that way. I know that I have more than enough, but I don't need his reminders! (Like he has more than enough tools, so what's the dif?) It always feels like a covert operation when I am coming home from the fabric store. LOL
Of course I am a follower, and yes, I want this fabric! LOL
I do feel a bit guilty about my new sewing machine, like someone else mentioned, I could have bought a used Car! But this is so much more fun!
I am a follower, of course! Thanks for the giveaway, love the fabric.
I feel guilty about buying shoes because I must have... oh... about 40 pairs! But I LOOOOOVE shoes!!!
I don't like to make purchases unnecessarily and I usually feel guilty when I spend money on fabrics, but those are the purchases that make me the happiest!
I already follow you!
I am a follower, of course! This is very beautiful fabric that you are parting with - would love to win it!!
I think the time I felt the most guilty after a purchase was when my husband and I were newly married. I came home with two sweaters and four shirts. My husband freaked out a little thinking that I was going to turn into my mother (she likes to spend money). A lot of fabric purchases have made me feel guilty since, but I try not to dwell on those feelings. =)
I've been reading your blog for a while, but now I'm an official follower.
I always feel guilty about fabric. I too have a huge pile. I can generally justify about everything else, but looking at my piles of fabric, I can never really justify buying more.

I recently bought a pair of shiny new rain boots that I might have been able to live without. I feel a bit guilty about that purchase, but I just have to remind myself how functional they are!
My big guilty pleasures are fabric and books. I can't seem to get enough of either. Seriously, I must have 100+ books waiting to be read. I couldn't even start to calculate how many yards of fabric I have stashed here and there. Oh, and while I'm out shopping for fabric and books that I don't need, I usually take myself out to lunch. Yep, more guilt!
I'm a follower too!
I am also a follower. Yay fandango! Thanks for the chance to win!
I know I shouldn't, but I actually feel sort of guilty about all the maternity clothes I just ordered. I'm a first time mom, and I almost feel like I don't want to miss out on this part of pregnancy, and I'm honestly using it as an excuse for an entirely new wardrobe - for four months. Ridiculous, when I think about it, but it's hard to stop!
I'm a follower! Thanks for the chance to win, this is fantastic!
I bought way too many yards of fabric, when I should have paid attention to my greater needs for zippers, interfacing, etc.... Oh well, just have to sew more projects and get faster, faster, faster....
Thanks for the giveaway!

I always feel guilty when I go into a fabric store and NOT come out with a purchase. It is guilt that I am not supporting the owner. So i have more fabric in small pieces than I will ever use. I need to find a great pattern for a quilt that is scrappy but not crazy.
I brought a big wedge of blue cheese the other day and now it's just sitting in the fridge tormenting me and I'm feeling to guilty to eat it - after all I could do with losing a few lb's and not stuffing my face with cheese and biscuits! Lovely fabric bundle, I'd love to win, thx for the chances!

Most recently, I purchased two charm packs of Sunkissed and by the time I got home, I realized I would never use them and have no plan for them whatsoever- I do have plans for 6 FQ of Fandango though!

Like most quilters I buy way more fabric than I'll use, but I love it so! I don't think I'll stop anytime soon...
I'm a follower, love your blog! Thanks for the chance to win these beautiful fabrics!
I feel guilty as soon as I step through the doors of my local fabric store. Being on a tight budget I tend to scrutinize everything to the enth degree. I love fabric and the FQs are stunning.
Thank you for the chance to win.

Bought it. Don't need it. My latest unnecessary purchase was a 1976 Elna sewing machine. I learned on a 1962 Elna Super Blue Top just like my mothers, and my grandmothers, and had a burst of nostalgia.
I looked at the '76 and though it was different looking it contained all the memories of my childhood. I HAD to have it.
It's been with us for several months. I've sewn a couple of small projects with it, but have determined to sell it this summer.

Well, let's see....I have so many I won't disclose all my faults. =)
I did recently buy a Slice machine and multiple cards...I haven't even tried it once! I've had it since January!!! UGH...I need motivation. =)
I love Fandango...and would love to win the FQ's...they'd make an adorable patchwork tote!
Thanks for the lovely giveaway!
I'm also following you now! I love your blog...can't wait to see your creations!
Thanks for another chance to win. Time to go work on homework with my kids! =)

I often feel guilty about my fabric purchases. I enjoy sewing so much though that I feel the purchases are justified...at least that is what I keep telling myself:)
Thank you for the opportunity to win these cute fabrics!

Yeah, I feel a little guilty about all the fabric (notions, patterns, books I buy) and it is only because I don't know if I'll ever get to use it all up (but since I have some leftovers of Fandango, I could put yours with it and make something and then I wouldn't feel guilty - LOLOL! I also might feel a teeny-tiny bit guilty about the iPad 2 I just bought (although I used birthday money for some of it) o:)
I'm also a follower! I also just remembered something else I feel guilty about - the Janome Memorycraft 6600P I bought on a whim 2 years ago. Never use it, don't need it and am trying to sell it.
Hi there,
I never feel quilty, but sometimes when I buy new shoes I think: do I really need them? When you grow up, you need new shoes because the old ones doesn't fit anymore! But when you are 44 like me, your feet will be the same size for the rest of your life! So that is why I recycle my old (but still good) shoes and give them to the thriftstore.
When I win your give away, I will use the fabric for blankets that I make for an orphange in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (one of my adopted sons lived there when he was a baby). Such bright colours make me smile and I hope the children there will do that too!
I just bought a picture at a craft show to find out that I already had it! Only feel a little guilty since I just realized I could use it as a giveaway, maybe.

I totally felt guilty about my recent computer I splurged on. I had a laptop already but I didn't think it was cute enough.. or fast enough. Mostly the cute factor though. Anyways... These fabrics are to die for. I need them!!
I definitely follow you as well. I have to!

I haven't felt guilty about fabric yet.

What great posts from everyone. I'm also one that feels guilty about fabric purchases because I should be doing other things with my money. But eventually I'll get around to playing around with all of it..promise.

I needed a little "retail therapy" and spent $55 on an eye shadow brush. Here's the thing...I don't wear eyeshadow! But on the rare occasion that I do, my eyeshadow is nice and even.
I feel guilty about that last pair of shoes I bought. Even though they were on sale, who needs yellow flats???
My stash is really small, so I use just about everything to keep within my budget. I do still feel guilty whenever I buy fabric, because even though I use it, it is not a necessity. Mostly I feel guilty about all the supplies needed to make just one quilt (even if you're working from the stash, you still need to buy at least the batting). Oh, well, I need to do it because I couldn't live without sewing. :-)
Thanks for the giveaway! I have a fandango jelly roll that I do have a plan for but need to buy some extra fabric to finish it off!
I just started what was a supposed to be a scrap quilt and, despite raiding my mother's very impressive fabric stash, I still went out and bought more! Although it wasn't too much, I still felt a bit guilty, just because it kind of defeated the purpose of this scrap quilt!
And I'm a follwer :)
I feel guilty about any purchase I make at the craft/fabric store because, well, I spend a LOT of money and time there. And my kids hate it :)
I've been a follower for a while!
I actually had to stop buying fabric for a while since the guilt was getting to me. I have no where to put it, my fabric shelves are full so I started stashing it under my desk. I've started looking again though, so maybe I'm getting over it.
I'm a follower of your blog.
I feel guilty buying bags and shoes... so I started buying fabric instead, much easier to justify given I use it to make clothes for the children and gifts for family and friends!
I felt kinda guilty for going out and buying all kinds of candles, batteries and flashlights when we were supposed to get a crazy ice storm last month. Well, the power never went off. So now, they will be stocking stuffers?? :)
I follow you, too. :)
I am a follower via Google Reader! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
What a very nice selection. I have enough fabric to make soooo many items yet I still purchase when I see fabric on sale. I need to start shopping my stash!
I bought a dress for my daughter's 8th grade graduation. I didn't know if she'd like it or not. Turns out, not. Am I returning it? Noooooo...its fits so I'm keeping it. Doesn't matter that she is 13 and I'm 45, it fits!
My last guilty purchase was more stamping stuff! Love the material - beautiful colors!
I have to admit, my guilty purchases are almost always fabric! That makes me wonder if I should be entering a giveaway for more :) Those fabrics are gorgeous-- I can't resist!
I also follow your blog in my google reader. It's great to keep up with what you're working on, I love your projects!
I love the Fandango and really I would give to my college daughter who is creating a stash as she is learning to sew. thanks !

I also have a give away going on. Check it out!
The thing I am most guilty about buying is a portable DVD player. The player was used 3 or 4 times before finding a permanet home on the closet shelf. By the way the fabric is fantastic and i am not sure I would feel guilty about buying it eveb if I just touched it a few tomes.
I have lots of "guilty" buying habits. First I buy anything cute and vintage looking just because. Second I buy lots of cute fabric, buttons, thread, sewing patterns/books because I am sure I will us them in future projects. Now I didn't say exactly when those future projects might start or fininsh. It all depends on my family, children and my mood. I just love crafting!!
I have been a follower for quite some time and love your Blog. You give me inspiration, comfort and hope in all my crafting endeavers. :) Thanks for just being you and all your great posts. :>)
I feel guilty about having bought a fancy sewing machine when I could have settled for a cheaper one...because I can't connect it to my pc without spending more money and at the end of the day it's just a hobby
I blogged about you yesterday but forgot to let you know til now...after reading your post on the 22nd.

I collect yarn, but I love the guilty also :)
I feel guilty when I buy craft stuff. I know people are struggling and sometimes I feel like it's such a frivolous purchase. But, usually I try to hand make all my gifts so I guess it evens out a bit.

A purchase I feel guilty about... Probably the quilt kit I picked up at a local fabric store for an owl quilt. It's sitting on my desk right now taunting me with it's unfinishedness. And my lack of desire to finish it once I'd read the quilt instructions.
