Well, finishing up The Middle Child's sweater was just the motivation I needed to pull this one from the to-do pile and finish 'er up!
I had started this as my "first sweater" but lost interest as it has no recipient in mind as of yet...the person I was certain would have a girl found out she is preggers with a boy! Regardless, I am happy to hold on to this until the right wee girl comes along.
I used the Little Coffee Bean Cardigan free pattern on Ravelry by Elizabeth Smith in size 3 months. I love the sweet stripes and the short sleeves will look hip over a long sleeved onesie ;) I made one modification to the raglan increases, using a kfb instead of a yo to avoid the eyelets. I used Cascade 220 Superwash yarns.
The buttons are from my local quilt shop, and I opted to secure them with a splash of lemon yellow thread.
My youngest declared that she wants one in her size, so she could match her two precious "kitties." :)

OK OK, enough knitting, now let's resume normal life and get back to the quilting please ;-)
awe! that is so cute, how tiny! :) All i can say is that it look like it took forever to make, but it's beautiful!
It's adorable! I admire those who knit because I have only knit a few things and struggle with it! If I make a mistake I am paralyzed because ripping them out and getting to the right spot is so hard!
OMG your knitting is just so awesome and the knitting language you are using is to be envied! The splash of yellow on the buttons is just perfect and so unexpected!!!!!! Love it!
That is one cute cardy. I love seeing little kids in hand made knits and whoever is lucky enough to receive this will just love it.
Your knitting is so perfect! Is there anything you aren't good at?
Lovely! You are on a roll with your knitting! Youngest Daughter deserves such a pretty cardigan (especially as it matches the cats), doesn't she? LOL
So snuggly and cute! Love that splash of lemon (like pink lemonade!).
Have you casted on one for your youngest yet??? :)
