Procrastination....

I admit it, I am a bit overwhelmed at the thought of starting my youngest daughter's quilt. Still haven't done all the piecing calculations, but have broken it down enough to know I will tackle the "umbrellas" by making modified pinwheels/HST to simplify. Since I have never yet tried these, I thought I would do a test run to settle my nerves.

This will be transformed into a baby quilt for a little girl of a friend, due to arrive this summer. The lovely vibrant fabric is from a charm pack of Moda Plume, which my blogging buddy Alison sent me, along with a bag of scraps. I have been drooling over the HST quilt she made here, so it is only fitting that I used her fabric to make one, too!

Off to do some stitching and some calculating for the Big Daddy!
